One of Australia’s top podcasters has recalled the mortifying moment that airport security found a sex toy among her luggage.

Laura Henshaw, known for co-hosting the popular KICPod podcast, revealed to listeners and her Instagram followers that she was stopped at a security check point while travelling as security guards believed she had a “mouse” in her bag.

“One of the most embarrassing moments of my life,” she said on the program.

She arrived to collect her luggage to discover security surrounding her bag.

“There’s three security people standing around my bag,” she revealed.

“The line is starting to get longer and longer – this is a busy airport.”

The already stressful incident became much more serious when security stepped up their efforts to see what was inside the bag

“They put your security tape across the thing, they were like, ‘Don’t come in here’,” she said.

“I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m going to be arrested’.”

Thinking she was going to end up on an episode of Border Security, Ms Henshaw was questioned about what was in her bag and whether it was a computer mouse.

As they began searching the bag, what Ms Henshaw had inside was revealed, with an extra horrifying twist.

“Opens the bag, he has got no gloves on and out he pulls my vibrator,” she exclaims.

“I literally lost my sh-t, he’s just holding it.

“I haven’t washed that in a long time!”

With travellers allowed to bring their adult products onto planes, Ms Henshaw was let go without further incident.
