Disadvantaged schoolchildren in Karratha have received a helping hand through a generous donation of stationery by the Karratha Bikers Association.

The KBA donated more than $11,000 worth of stationery supplies to the nine primary schools in the City of Karratha area last week. It is the third year running that the association has donated to local schools in the region.

The supplies were a result of funds raised through the group’s major fundraiser the Father’s Day Car, Bike and 4WD Show.

KBA president Neil Tollison said the donation was for disadvantaged children who did not have stationery and for students who forgot to bring any.

“KBA has been volunteering their time for the last eight years with the Father’s Day Car, Bike and 4WD Show to make these donations to the community which would not be possible without the generosity of the public and businesses,” he said.
