VideoWest Coast Eagles suffered a 101-point defeat to St Kilda, marking their second 100-point loss in a month.

West Coast key defender Harry Edwards is set to make his return from concussion, but won’t slide straight back into the senior side.

Edwards hasn’t played since the club’s round two victory over North Melbourne after copping his second significant head knock of the season.

The blow left the big man staggered and ended his day early in the first term.

The North Melbourne setback came just three weeks after a concussion sustained against Port Adelaide in their pre-season clash that saw the 25-year-old miss the Eagles’ season opener.

However, Eagles second-year coach Andrew McQualter revealed positive news on Monday night, with Edwards expected to make a return to the field in the WAFL this weekend against East Perth.

“We’re confident Harry will play some football in the WAFL this weekend, which is terrific,” he told 7NEWS.

“He’s missed a period of football now, so we’ll have him come back through that team, and he’s a really important piece.

“We look forward to getting him back.”

McQualter was also able to put a timeline on off-season recruit Brandon Starcevich who is still yet to make his debut in blue and gold having joined the club from reigning premiers Brisbane.

“Brandon’s progressing through his rehab at the moment, which is a good sign, and we’re hopeful that in another three to four weeks we’ll start to see him in football as well,” he said.

After recovering from a minor ACL strain to start 2026, the star defender has been struck down with persistent calf niggles.
