Isaac Heeney’s fiance Steffie Waters has deleted an engagement photo of the pair from her Instagram account as the aftermath of the Sydney Swans scandal continues.

Curiously, the October 2025 post — which depicted Ms Waters grinning as she displayed the impressive ring alongside her beau — appears the only image removed from her profile.

Several other loved-up photos featuring the couple remain, including shared travels, and attendance at last year’s Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne.

Ms Waters’ decision to take down the post raises further question marks over the fallout from the scandal, in which five Swans players were stood down by the club after alleged events in the early hours of August 17.

Alongside Heeney, Chad Warner, Riley Bice, Nick Blakey and James Jordon were internally sanctioned after they breached behavioural standards by staying out late, drinking and inviting women into the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne following their game at the MCG against Essendon in round 23.

The Victoria Police Sexual Crimes Squad continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault that occurred that evening, but no charges have been laid.

This masthead is not suggesting the players are guilty of any wrongdoing, but notes they had been assisting police with enquiries.

Heeney’s Instagram account has been inactive since late August in wake of the scandal.

Childrens books from his Little Isaac Footy Fever series have also been dumped by major retailers and bookstores, and a third instalment put on hold, amid the allegations.

The 30-year-old popped the question to Ms Waters during a romantic getaway in French Polynesia last year in the AFL post-season.

It is not believed the pair’s engagement has been called off.

Heeney had also been celebrating his second consecutive Swans best and fairest award in 2025.

The 244-gamer remains eligible to win the upcoming Brownlow Medal, to be held on Monday September 21, and is expected to poll well.
