Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny lose daughter Jaimi Kenny after long-term illness battle

The daughter of Australian sporting greats Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny has died.

Jaimi Kenny, 33, passed away at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Queensland this morning.

Former swimming champ Curry, and Ironman great Kenny, both 57, announced the tragic news in a statement today, saying that it was with “a heavy heart” they confirmed their “beautiful daughter Jaimi” had lost her battle with a long-term illness.

Paying tribute to his daughter, Kenny said Jaimi had “passed away peacefully in hospital this morning in the company of loving family”.

“We thank the incredible team at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for their tireless commitment to making her better and giving us as the extra time we were able to spend with her.

“It goes without saying that this is a very difficult time for family and friends and we trust we will all be allowed to grieve in privacy.”
