An MMA fighter has suffered one of the most gruesome injuries ever seen inside the cage.

American Salvador Becerra was competing in the Copa Combate 2019 lightweight quarterfinals in Lima, Peru over the weekend when the bout ended very, very badly.

A tired Becerra was lifted by his opponent Milko Tucto and slammed onto the canvas with just 90 seconds to go in the first round.

Unfortunately for Becerra, he tried to break his fall but the weight of Tucto forced the 24-year-old’s right arm to snap.

As the referee ran in to stop the fight, a screaming Becerra was left clutching at his badly broken arm.
