VideoAFLW: Co-winner of the AFLW Best and Fairest award, Fremantle's Kiara Bowers has paid a beautiful tribute to her partner Adele and son Nate.

Kiara Bowers won the AFLW’s best-and-fairest prize yesterday, and won the internet today.

The Fremantle star became the first Docker to take out the prestigious honour, tying with Collingwood’s Brianna Davey in a well-deserved triumph to cap a superb individual season.

So how to celebrate the morning after?

Bowers gave a hilarious nod to her Freo AFL counterpart Nat Fyfe and his famous shirtless photo the day after his 2015 Brownlow win by getting her adorable young son Nate involved.

It came after Bowers last night paid tribute to her “incredible partner” Adele Coxall for her support in helping her juggle her AFLW and carpentry careers.

“I’m leaving home at 5-5:30 in the morning and then not getting home until 9-9:30 at night, and someone’s got to look after Nate,” she said.

“You are incredible and I could not have done this without you, so I’ll put this around yours and Nate’s neck.”

Bowers, who narrowly missed out on also winning the AFLW’s MVP award as voted by the players, also spoke glowingly of her love for Nate.

“Whatever he wants to do, we’ll let him do - as long as he’s a happy dude, and he’s definitely one of those,” she said.
