Rossmoyne’s Matt Koutsoukis managed to apply the final touch to a remarkable individual season on Saturday — and it was clearly to the delight of his entire club.
Koutsoukis entered his side’s Perth Football League C5 clash with North Mandurah at their home ground of Shelley Reserve with 99 goals to his credit in a remarkable campaign.
And he did not have to wait long to break into triple figures, converting an early set shot from no more than 20m out and directly in front of goal to spark some wild celebrations.
Koutsoukis was quickly mobbed by his teammates and dozens of the club’s supporters also did not take long to storm the field ad join in, with some even setting off smoke flares in the Rhinos’ colour of blue.
The all-important goal was the first of five Koutsoukis contributed in his side’s 94-point win over North Mandurah.
He has kicked at least three majors in each of his 18 appearances for the Rhinos this year, which have included two hauls of 10 in a single game.
For context, his teammate Revis Alone — who himself slotted seven goals on Saturday — and Whitford’s Chris Pugh are currently tied for second on the competition’s goal-kicking charts with 44.
The Rhinos were far and away their division’s most dominant side this season, winning each of their 18 games to finish five victories clear on top of the ladder.
Their prolific forward will have at least two more games to add to his tally in the finals — but only after a weekend off, which his side earned by claiming the minor premiership.
And Koutsoukis was not the only WA footballer to have reached three figures for 2026 on Saturday, with Jerramungup’s Hayden Parker achieving the same feat.
The sixth and final goal Parker slotted in the Eagles’ 100-point qualifying final win over Lake Grace-Pingrup moved him along to the milestone in what was just his 12th game for the season.
The former Claremont junior started the year in white-hot fashion with 42 majors in his first four games — a run capped off with a haul of 14 against Boxwood Hill in May — and has hardly slowed down since.
Parker joined the Ongerup Football Association side over the off-season from the neighbouring Great Southern Football League, in which he kicked 98 goals for premiership winners Railways last year.
