Australian sporting stars Dylan Alcott and Daniel Ricciardo have capped off stellar sporting wins with the most Aussie celebrations.

Alcott completed a history-making Golden Slam by winning the US Open, defeating Dutchman Niels Vink in the quad singles wheelchair final to become the first man to win all four Grand Slams and a Paralympic Gold in the same year.

Victories at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon were capped off by a win at the Tokyo Paralympics, before claiming 7-5 6-2 in 67 minutes at Flushing Meadows overnight.

After the 30-year-old’s remarkable accomplishment, Alcott stuck around to watch the men’s singles final between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

The crowd cheered as he poured a beer into his US Open trophy before he skolled it, with the moment captured and posted to the tournament’s official Twitter account.

“I saw I got a smile from Novak and Medvedev, which was nice,” Alcott said in a post-match press conference.

“I wouldn’t want to be a beer in New York tonight, because you’re going to get destroyed. That’s for sure.”

It was just one of the very Aussie celebrations over the day, with Perth F1 star Daniel Ricciardo celebrating his Italian GP win with his trademark shoey.

Ricciardo leapt from the top of the podium after collecting his trophy to applause from the crowd for his celebration, before handing his shoe to teammate Lando Norris, who struggled but persevered with the Aussie tradition.

He even got McLaren Executive Director, Zak Brown, in on the action, as the American took a swig from Riccardio’s boot.

“For McLaren to be on the podium is huge, let alone a one-two. This is for ‘team papaya’. I’m, for once, lost for words,” Ricciardo said.
