It replaces the two original AAMI Community Series matches scheduled for next week, Adelaide versus the Dockers on the Saturday and Port Adelaide against the Eagles the following day.

The Power and Crows will now play against each other in Adelaide, the same day as the second derby.

AFL fixtures boss Travis Auld explained the revised pre-season schedule was to minimise risks around coronavirus state border restrictions by avoiding travel before the regular season.

“The changes to the fixture are consistent with the league’s approach to best managing the risks around COVID by minimising travel for teams where possible across both the men’s and women’s programs,” Auld said.
