WA’s deadly run on the roads has continued with a female driver killed today in a collision in the South West.

Police say the crash happened about 1pm at the intersection of South Western Highway and Hynes Road in Waterloo, about 15km east of Bunbury.

The deceased woman was the sole occupant of her car while the male driver of the other vehicle escaped with minor injuries.

Major Crash officers travelled from Perth today to examine the scene but the cause of the collision is still being investigated.

It comes after five people, including two young children, died on the State’s roads in three separate crashes over the WA Day long weekend.
