Wedgefield crash: Two killed, one fighting for life after horror car crash along Wallwork Road

Two people have died and another is fighting for their life after a car slammed into a tree in the Pilbara. Emergency services were called to the scene in Wedgefield, near South Hedland, about 9.20pm on Monday. Police said a white Holden Commodore was travelling west along Wallwork Road when it left the road and slammed into a tree. One passenger died at the scene while another was taken to the hospital but later died. A third person remains in hospital in a critical condition. A fourth passenger and the driver suffered minor injuries and are also being treated in hospital. Authorities are still working to formally identify the deceased. “These passengers have not been formally identified at this time, and we are in the process of advising their families,” police said on Tuesday.
