Professor Gallop is also expected to discuss the McGowan Government's response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Later on the show, Burt MP and Shadow Minister for Defence Industry Matt Keogh will make his first appearance on The West Live.

Mr Keogh will discuss deputy Labor leader Richard Marles’ attacks on the government over the full cycle docking submarine program relocation to WA and on Liberal backbenchers over their rhetoric against China.

Mr Marles accused the Coalition of bungling the future submarines program and of mishandling Australia's relationship with China, claiming the issues "need to be managed by the adults in the room".

Later in the show, The West Australian's crime editor and West Australian chief reporter Ben Harvey will join WA Police Sergeant Mick Slaughter to discuss and debrief the latest crime news.

After 9am, The West Australian's Inside Cover editor Ben O'Shea will join the show to share some quirky stories from across the State.
