Woman dies in Transperth bus tragedy in Nedlands

A 48-year-old woman has died after she was hit by a bus in Nedlands yesterday.

The Transperth bus was travelling east on Stirling Highway when it hit the woman on Stirling Highway, near the intersection with Meriwa Street about 3.15pm.

Passers-by and paramedics performed CPR at the scene before she was rushed to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

However, she was not able to survive her injuries.

Major crash detectives are now investigating.
