A crash on the Mitchell Freeway has been cleared but traffic remains slow on approach after multiple northbound lanes were blocked during morning peak-hour.

The crash happened on Mitchell Freeway northbound at Hay Street in the Perth CBD, with emergency services, incident response and a towing service attending the scene.

Main Roads WA initially reported multiple lanes blocked and motorists out of their vehicles, with traffic slow on approach.

The incident has since been cleared but motorists are still being warned of delays.

A crash on Kwinana Freeway northbound at Leach Highway in Brentwood has blocked the left emergency lane, with a towing service on site and traffic heavy on approach.

A separate crash on the Mitchell Freeway southbound at Hepburn Avenue in Greenwood has been cleared, although traffic remains slow in the area.

It comes after earlier breakdowns on the Tonkin Highway northbound at Dunreath Drive near Perth Airport and Kwinana Freeway northbound at Farrington Road in North Lake added to congestion.
