Dad and teen daughter injured in motorbike crash in Forrestdale

Tonkin Highway was closed for hours today after a car allegedly ploughed into a motorbike, seriously injuring a father in his 40s and his teenage daughter.

The father was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where he is believed to be in a serious condition.

His 15-year-old daughter, who was also on the motorbike, was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital. Her condition unknown.

A Main Roads WA spokesperson confirmed the crash happened between 9.30-10am this morning when a white vehicle allegedly ran a red light on Armadale Road and collided with the motorbike.

WA Police confirmed the driver of the car was taken to hospital, it is unknown if they suffered any serious injuries.

Traffic was backed up on Tonkin Highway at Armadale Road in Forrestdale as emergency services attended to the injured and cleared the roadway.
