After spending more than three years policing the streets of Manjimup, first class constable Tim Jones joined Matt Fogarty, left, and the team at the Donnybrook police station last week.

Welcoming him to town, Donnybrook’s Bendigo Bank staff Morgan O'Connor, Zoey Askevold and Angelo Logiudice brought him coffee and donuts.

Having cut his holiday in Peru short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Const. Jones is hoping to stay put in Donnybrook for a while.

“I moved down to Donnybrook about 40 years ago and lived in Balingup where I brought up my kids,” he said.

“Before working in Manjimup I worked in Bunbury, so I have been all over the South West.

“I’m glad to be back here though, it’s a great town to live and work in.”

Welcoming him with coffee and donuts was Donnybrook’s Bendigo Bank branch manager, customer service officer and director.

“We love our local police,” branch manger Morgan O’Connor said.

“They do so much for our town and we just wanted to welcome Tim back and show our appreciation for the work he will do.”

Donnybrook sergeant Matt Fogarty said it was great to have Const. Jones in the office.

“Tim has a great rapport with a lot of the people in this town and that’s really important,” he said.

“The community rely on the police department and in turn we rely on community support and cooperation.

“It’s great to have a local working in the town.”
