A Singleton skin therapist has taken home six wins at the national 2026 Best in Skin Awards.

Corneotherapist Jacinta Curnow won gold in the brighten, revive, and skin needling categories. She entered two clients in the hydrate category, earning a gold and silver award, and took home a bronze in the clear category.

Ms Curnow, who opened her home clinic in 2016, said the enormity of her success did not hit until the plane ride home.

“It didn’t feel real until I had a little cry on the plane ride back to Perth,” she said.

“It was a massive day, and I think it hit me hard being a sole trader. I work from home, I don’t have this big shiny clinic, it’s just me, so it felt great to be recognised.”

The award ceremony was held on May 31 at The Glasshouse in Melbourne, which Ms Curnow said was special as she brought her daughter Charlie-Rose along.

“It was amazing that she got to come meet my friends in the industry and get up on stage to accept an award with me,” she said.

“She got to see another side of me and see I’m not just a mum; it was a great experience.”

Ms Curnow also recently received two awards at the 2026 Aesthetic Business Masters, coming home from the Melbourne ceremony with wellness champion and aesthetics business master WA.

She started her business after one facial “changed her life”. Ms Curnow specialises in skin barrier disorders and chronic skin conditions, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science in naturopathy.

“I love the education side of things, but I think my favourite part of the job is giving my clients a relaxing space,” she said.

“Most of my clients are busy working women, so I like to create that space for them to breathe, and then take home the knowledge to do it for themselves as well.”
