The Shire of Exmouth is inviting the community to come together for an inclusive community showcase, Welcome to Town, on March 28 at Federation Park.

The event will feature a community market from 2pm-9pm and a family-friendly outdoor movie screening from 7pm-9pm, complete with free popcorn.

Welcome to Town aims to bring residents, seasonal workers, local businesses and community groups together, fostering connection ahead of the upcoming tourism season.

Shire president Matt Niikkula said the shire was delighted to be showcasing the multiple talents, flavours and community services available for residents and visitors to Exmouth ahead of the annual population boost over the winter months.

“Making meaningful connections is vital in a small, remote community, and bringing the array of opportunities together in one place is something new and exciting for . . . residents, businesses and visitors alike,” he said.

The event will feature market stalls for local businesses, club and group sign-ups, volunteer opportunities, local creative talent, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and the movie screening.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own rugs and chairs.
