An Exmouth local has been found following an extensive marine search for the 25-year-old man who failed to return from a fishing trip.

Kaleb Cockburn launched at Bundegi boat ramp at 9 am Monday and was due to return around 3pm that same day, however when his fishing vessel did not return at this time an extensive marine search was launched.

Mr Cockburn was found alive and well inside his vessel in the search area on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services carried out the search for the 25-year-old with the help from local Volunteer Marine Rescue and private vessels as well as with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority’s Challenger rescue aircraft.
