Youngsters to enter Point Samson art awards

Entries are open for the 2017 Point Samson Kids Art Awards and Photography competition.

Kids from across the city of Karratha in Kindergarten to Year 12 can enter a piece of art they have created or photograph they have taken by Friday, August 4.

On Saturday, August 12, an exhibition of all the entered artworks will be on display and the winners will be announced at Point Samson Community Hall.

Judges will chose a winner, runner-up and a high commendation in four age categories. Exhibition goers will also be able to vote for their favourite artwork or photograph for the People’s Choice Award.

The Point Samson Community Association has been running the kids art and photography awards since the early naughties. Art entries can be dropped at Dampier, Karratha, Wickham or Roebourne libraries and photography entries must be sent to kidsartawards@psca.org.au before the closing date.
