Yeah the girls! Erika Cramer to host night out in Tom Price and Paraburdoo to promote community mental health

International confidence coach Erika Cramer is set to visit Tom Price and Paraburdoo for a glitzy girls’ night out to promote better mental health in the community. As an experienced speaker with a background in mental health advocacy, Ms Cramer is looking to address the challenges faced by women in the FIFO community and help them reclaim their confidence. “I do like to go a bit deep; we’re not talking about putting on red lipstick to feel more confident. Usually during my talks someone will cry and then they’ll laugh immediately after and that’s ultimately my goal,” Ms Cramer said. “We’re going to be talking about how you create a confidence mindset, how you build resilience in times of adversity, how you can back yourself and get yourself into a place where you feel good no matter what’s happening around you.” Women can get glammed up for the night, snap a selfie in front of a photo wall and enjoy a grazing table feast. “A part of my safe space creation is silly energy; I love wearing sequins like a big disco ball or as though I’m part of a karaoke show,” Ms Cramer said. In line with October’s Mental Health Week, Ms Cramer is hopeful the event will help women spark vulnerable conversations with their partners and families. “I’m expecting great shares, I’m expecting questions, I’m expecting conversations around how women can actually take what they’re learning and implement it into their lives,” she said. “We’re also making the event alcohol-free as I think people will be much more open to vulnerably sharing.” The events will be held at Tom Price Nintirri Centre on Friday, October 4, and Ashburton Hall on Saturday, October 5.
