Police have charged two people for disorderly conduct after a violent brawl at Rosemary Road. The incident took place about 4.40pm on November 5 in Baynton with 10-40 people involved. Karratha police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Danial Strachan released a statement on Facebook the next day to announce liquor restrictions for the town because of the potential for a breach of peace. Under the restrictions takeaway alcohol was limited for residents, with a maximum of one carton of beer or three bottles of wine or one bottle of spirits per person. The restrictions were in accordance with the delegated authority provided by the director of liquor licensing.
