Three men have been charged in relation to a serious assault at a Karratha restaurant last month.

A man in his 30s was seriously injured when he was allegedly assaulted by three men known to him at the restaurant on Balmoral Road on December 13.

The men allegedly struck the victim to the face several times, resulting in serious facial injuries that required him to undergo full facial reconstruction surgery.

The accused — a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both from Karratha, and a 34-year-old man from Nickol — have each been charged with grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

They are due to appear before the Karratha Magistrate’s Court on January 9.

Police are urging anyone who was at the restaurant at the time of the assault and has not yet spoken to police to contact them.
