West Pilbara Detectives have charged three men over a violent home invasion in Peg’s Creek on Saturday in which a man was seriously injured.

Clinton Shaun Brown, 27, from Karratha, Mark Anthony Ibardaloza, 28, from Peg’s Creek, and Nathan Anthony Oakley, 28, from Wickham have each been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, aggravated home burglary and criminal damage or destruction of property.

Police will allege the men slashed the throat of a 32-year-old man and bashed him after breaking into a house in Sing Place, Peg’s Creek at about 10pm on Saturday.

The man was hospitalised with injuries to his face, neck and scalp.

Mr Brown and Mr Ibardaloza appeared in Karratha Magistrate’s Court yesterday and have been remanded in custody.

Mr Oakley is due to appear in court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Carlos Correia said police believed it had been a targeted, not random, offence.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or West Pilbara Detectives.
