Tequiras take down Cougars

Bibs and balls took over the Karratha Lesiureplex on Monday for round 2 of the Karratha Netball Association’s 2019 season.

In the division 1 grand final rematch, a very similar outcome occurred with Tequiras taking down Cougars by by five, setting the two teams up for another fierce rivalry.

In the other game, Thunderbolts were defeated by Blades 30-35, landing them at the bottom of the ladder as the only team in the division without a win.

Division 2 is proving to be a very tight grade, with two out of three games decided by a goal.

Blades were just able to get over the Karratha Kats and Tequiras managed to edge out Thunderbolts.

In the last match, Cougars Blue beat Cougars Gold 47-27 in the derby.

In division 3, the reigning premiers, Gems, are proving difficult to beat, triumphing over Kats White 56-43.

Kats Blue are also showing good early form and were victorious over Cougars Gold 59-44.

In the other matches, Blades went down to Cougars Blue 30-39 and Tequiras beat Thunderbolts 40-26.

The final division, 4/5, had both close calls and massive defeats.

In a low-scoring match, Kats 5 were able to claim victory over Gems 19-16.

Thunderbolts had their first win of the season and took down Mojitos 33-13, while Blades also put their first points on the ladder by beating Sinners 48-27.

In the other games, Cougars Gold defeated Cougars Blue 41-19 and Kats 4 gave their percentage a massive boost by thrashing Tequiras 61-25.
