Tequiras secure round one win over Blades in Karratha Netball Association winter competition

Tequiras have kicked off the Karratha Netball Association winter season with a 28-point victory over Blades in an action-packed contest at the Karratha Leisureplex. The division one opening round clash on May 3 had Tequiras seize control early in the opening quarter and never look back. The Tequiras cruised to a dominant 28-point victory 53-25 and fire a warning shot to the rest of the division. In the other round one game, rivals Karratha Falcons and Karratha Kats faced off in a fiery match-up. Kats proved too strong for Falcons, now in their second season, and ran away with the win 58-28. In division two, Falcons Div 2 held off Tequiras Div 2 in an intense game to win by two points 37-35. Bolts Div 2 overpowered the Kweens 37-30. The final division two game was a Karratha Kats derby with Kats White winning against Kats Blue 46-42. And in division three action Bolts Div 3 downed Tequiras Div 3 53-19 and Kats Div 3 Blue defeated Blades Div 3 48-22. Falcons Div 3 proved too strong for Cougars Div 3 taking the victory 43-20 and Karratha Kats Div 3 White came out on top of Tequiras Div 3 Black 32-23.
