It was an evening of glitz, glamour and sequins at Karratha’s first Binggay night held in celebration of Pride Month.

Binggay, hosted by Headspace Pilbara, was an action packed night of bingo at the Karratha Ibis Styles on Saturday evening.

It featured a lip sync contest and performances by MC and Pilbara drag queen Alyeesha Tryed.

Another highlight included a fashion parade where attendees showed off their sparkling and colourful costumes.

Headspace Pilbara community development worker Dee Juskov said the evening was a success filled with glitter and laughter.

Ms Juskov said the fashion parade was a highlight.

“The fashion parade got everybody cheering really loud because everyone in Karratha went all out in their dress,” she said.

“People made costumes and put diamantes on their faces and got all dolled up.

“There was men dressed as women, women dressed as men, gender bending. Everything was going on.”

Ms Juskov said Headspace hopes to run the event again next year.
