Rod Lee wins Karratha Golf Club’s Monthly Mug

A total of 64 players took part in Karratha Golf Club’s December Monthly Mug in cool and cloudy conditions last Saturday.

The field included visiting player Steve Moore, of Townsville.

It was neck and neck between the top three, who all scored a total of 32 strokes, but Rod Lee was named as the winner on a countback.

Tim Niikkula finished second and Ben Robinson came third.

Sunan Ong-Arch claimed the best gross score with a total of 37 strokes.

Cindy Newhouse won the prize for best lady (32 net) and Wez Lynn was the day’s best veteran (32 net).

Novelty winners included Kyan Medling (nearest the pin #11), Graham Glozien (nearest the pin #16), Digger Holmes (long drive #12) and Adam Ross (long putt #15).

Brett Manners claimed the moose award and Anand Subramoney won the NAGA prize.
