Prescribed burns near Karratha
Motorists have been advised to take care on the roads today as the Department of Parks and Wildlife conduct a series of prescribed burns.
The burns will be occurring throughout the day 95km south, 95km south-east, 100km south-south-east and 130km south-south-east of Karratha.
Parks and Wildlife advise motorists to turn on headlights and follow traffic management signs when driving through areas affected by smoke.
Prescribed burns are carried out by Parks and Wildlife for nature conservation, forest management and reduce bushfire risk.
