Pardoo Kats move forward to Karratha Basketball Association preliminary finals after beating Bala Boys

An action packed-night of basketball has seen Pardoo Kats move forward to the next round of finals in after taking down Northern Spirit Bala Boys. The back-and-forth semi final at Karratha Leisureplex saw Pardoo lead 11-5 at the half way through the first half 11-5. Bala Boys fought back throughout the half, getting the deficit down to just two points before a late burst from the Kats pushed the lead back out to five points at half time, 18-13. Kats continued to use their momentum early in the second half to take a game high 11 point lead five minutes in. A late fight back from the Bala Boys saw the lead cut to four points with two minutes to go but Pardoo Kats were able to hold their nerves and take the victory. The final score saw Pardoo Kats defeat Bala Boys 35-33. In the other division one semi final saw Flames Black scorch their way to victory over Trouts White 46-27. The next round of finals will see Flames Grey will take on Pardoo Kats this Thursday while Outlaws will go up against Flames Black. In division two action Roebourne Villagers took down Vipers 25-23 and Northern Spirit Saints demolished Roebourne Titans 36-22. Redbacks proved too strong for Flames Orange in the division three semi finals, winning 29-12, while Vipers demolished Wildcats-Men’s D3 32-17. Meanwhile in the women's competition, Trouts extinguished Flames 1 Black 34-21 and Northern Spirit Lynx defeated Flames 1 Grey 36-24. In division two, Goat Trouts took down Flames 2 Black 24-17 and Northern Spirit Queens ruled the court against Majick taking the victory 27-14. PM Trouts took out Northern Spirit Heat 24-10 in the first division three final, while Flames 3 Orange came out on top of Swish Swish Bish 24-14.
