McNally takes out Summer Stableford Cup round 9
Round 9 of Karratha Golf Club’s Stableford Summer Cup featured another hot day, with the temperature reaching 42C, but the club’s regular golfers were undeterred.
The Summer Cup round 9 win ultimately went to Steve McNally, who scored 22 points.
Phuttajuk Thipsiri (21 points) finished second, and Lorrie Bertrend (21 points) was hot on her heels in third.
The best gross score honours were won by Tyson Bertrend, who recorded a total of 35 strokes.
In the novelty categories, Danica Thoms claimed the long drive on the 2nd, Ken Willcocks collected long drive on the 6th and Bruce Livingstone won longest putt on the 7th.
Matt Warburton won the best second shot on the 4th, while Aaron Durkin and Glen May won nearest the pin on the 5th and the 8th respectively.
The club also welcomed visiting past member Paul Harrigen this round, who scored the best third shot on the 3rd.
