A Karratha 19-year-old has been taken to hospital after being run over by a small truck during the set-up for major local festival FeNaClNG.

Police report the man was helping to move generators for the event, which is on this weekend, near Bulgarra Oval at about 3pm today when he was hit by the vehicle.

An ambulance conveyed him to Nickol Bay Hospital for treatment.
