Man rescued from Karijini
Tom Price police, State Emergency Service and St John Ambulance officers have worked together to rescue a 58-year-old man from Karijini National Park.
The call of a man with a suspected dislocated knee at Handrail Pool in Weano Gorge came in on Tuesday, September 25.
A vertical rescue was performed and Tom Price SES acting unit manager Kathryn Honeyfield said it went like clockwork.
“It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved, they all worked really well together and it was executed perfectly,” she said.
“It’s the first actual vertical rope rescue we’ve performed this season because there’s now enough volunteers trained to do it.”
The man was conveyed to Tom Price Hospital by St John Ambulance and examined that night.
