Man receives minor injuries in highway bridge crash
A man has escaped a single vehicle crash near Roebourne late last night with minor injuries.
Roebourne police, who attended the scene, believe the male driver lost control of his ute on North West Coastal Highway and crashed into a barrier on Harding River Bridge at about 11pm.
He had to be cut out of his car by Department of Fire and Emergency Services volunteers due to the amount of damage to the vehicle and was taken to Roebourne Hospital with minor injuries by St John Ambulance.
Roebourne police acting officer-in-charge Sergeant Jerry Samoa said they did not think weather or road conditions had been a factor in the crash.
The 30-year-old man is believed to be from South Hedland and was the only person in the car at the time.
The police investigation is ongoing.
