Onslow police have arrested a man for allegedly possessing a large quantity of steroids in his luggage following a search at Onslow airport yesterday morning.

Officers identified the 25-year-old man as a result of intelligence and searched his person and luggage in the airport terminal after he had landed on a flight from Perth yesterday.

They allegedly found a large quantity of tablets and a number of vials of steroids in his luggage.

The man has been charged with possession of steroids and is expected to appear in Onslow Magistrate’s Court in coming weeks.

Onslow police Senior Constable Matt Dwyer said it was a pleasing result which would keep the local community safer.
