Kraken/Sharks rise up in blockbuster round

Another set of cracking games were played in round 12 of Karratha Water Polo Association action at Karratha Leisureplex last Thursday night.

Kraken/Sharks beat Barracuda/Pirates 10-2 in the men’s B division. In men’s A-grade, Pirates beat Cudas, 7-6.

Pirates keeper Steve Brown had a great night, stopping plenty of Cuda offences. Justin Angove was back on his best form, slotting four goals, while Cudas’ Dan Pederson bombed two big goals.

In the second men’s A-grade game, Sharks dominated a depleted Krakens, 10-4.

Sharks’ Oleg Roshetnikov contributed five hard-fought goals and was well supported by Charlie Regan’s three goals.

In the women’s A-grade, Krakens outpointed Pirates, 7-6.

Krakens star Ebony Hennessy and junior Cohen Regan scored two goals each. Pirates’ Portia Angove’s three goals helped her side to a 6-2 win over Cudas.
