Kats defeat Tequiras, finishing second place in the Karratha Netball Association

The Kats finished the Karratha Netball Association in second place on the ladder after defeating Tequiras by two points. Last Tuesday’s round 15 clash at Karratha Leisureplex went down to the wire with Kats proving too strong in the end, edging out Tequiras 48-46. The two-point victory meant Kats stayed in second on the ladder, unable to close the percentage gap to table-toppers Thunderbolts. In the other division 1 game Blades stunned the season’s top team, Thunderbolts, in a one-sided game, 20-nil. Kats and Thunderbolts were scheduled to clash in the first semifinal last night while Tequiras and Blades were set to face off. In division 2 action Kats White crushed Thunderbolts 53-33 and Tequiras downed Yara Falcons 47-38. Blades and Karratha Kweens had a hard-fought clash with Blades edging out the Kweens by one point, 34-33 and Kats Blue defeating Trouts 75-57.
