Karratha Village Shopping Centre on Sharpe Avenue is set to be without power until later this afternoon.

Horizon Power have confirmed a power outage occurred at about 3.30 am this morning because of a failure of the ring main unit which services the shopping centre.

Retail and Community Manager Michelle South said they expect power to be restored at about 5pm today.

“With this type of fault it will take some time for us to be able to source the necessary parts and safely replace the unit,” she said.

Horizon Power crews are working as quickly as possible to restore power safely.
