Motorcross is under way in Karratha for another season and organisers are gearing up for a busy start to the year.

The Karratha Enduro and Motocross Club held its annual come-and-try day at the track on Sunday, March 25, when about 42 riders from as far as Pannawonica braved the heat to try out the track on Shallow Well Road.

Club president Dennis Freegard said they were pleased with the strong turnout.

“It was amazing to see the amount of new faces as well as a large number of returning members for 2018,” he said.

The club is preparing for its first race event this Sunday, and to host round one of the North West Motorcycle Association’s racing calendar over two days the following weekend.
