Karratha Kats on top at midway point of the Karratha Netball Association division one season

The Karratha Netball season is heating up with the ever strong Karratha Kats sitting on top of the ladder as the clubs reach the midway point of the season. The Kats have won all eight of their games this year and sit firmly on top of the ladder with 16 points and an eye-watering percentage of 160.85. Kats have secured victories over Falcons, Tequiras and Blades, setting themselves up for a strong finals tilt. Second-placed Karratha Falcons have four wins from their eight games including victories against Blades and Tequiras, with the only side they are yet to beat the Kats. Currently sitting second on the ladder with eight points with a percentage of 96.36, the side has a two-point difference against third-placed Tequiras. Tequiras have had an up-and-down season, with losses to Kats and Falcons denting their momentum. Strong finishes against Blades as well as a hard-fought victory against the second-placed team give Tequiras a percentage of 100.68 going into the second half of the season. Meanwhile the Blades have struggled all season, securing just one victory while losing their first six games of the competition. A round seven victory against Tequiras is the highlight so far for Blades with the 46-44 win giving the side hope of cutting down the four-point difference against third-placed Tequiras. In division two, a highly competitive opening half of the season has the top three separated by just two points after eight rounds. Kats White sit on top of the ladder with 12 points, two points clear of their intra-club rivals Kats Blue and the Karratha Falcons. Kweens and Tequiras sit tied in fourth and fifth place with six points after securing three wins. Bolts sit behind in sixth with just three points while Blades are residing at the bottom of the ladder with just one point from eight rounds of competition.
