Karratha Falcons crushes South Hedland Swans in round 11 of the North Pilbara Football League

The Karratha Falcons delivered a crushing blow when crushing South Hedland Swans by 58 points in round 11 of the North Pilbara Football League. The Falcons made the most of their opportunities in the first quarter of the match at Bulgarra Oval, kicking 2.6 to the Swans 1.5 to hold a slender seven-point lead at the first change. A three-goal second term for the Falcons helped consolidate their lead as they picked apart the struggling Swans defence. The Falcons continued to control the game in the thid quarter but were wasteful in front of goal booting 2.4 to the Swans 2.2 to take a 25 point lead at the final break. The Falcons spread their wings in the last quarter, making the most of their opportunities to continue to punish the out of form Swans with five goals to run away with the victory, their second for the season. Karratha Falcons held their nerve to defeat the South Hedland Swans 12.16 (88) to 3.12 (30). In the reserves the Falcons overpowered the Swans by more than 100 points on the back of a five-goal haul from Ross Sturges. The Falcons took control in the opening term, booting 11 goals in the opening half to hold a massive 56-point lead. The Swans had no answer for the Falcons attack, with the home side storming to a huge 114-point victory. Karratha were dominant throughout, beating the Swans 20.10 (130) to 2.4 (16).
