Karratha clinic for keen mountain bikers
The spectacular and rugged landscape around Karratha provides plenty of opportunities to venture out on two wheels.
This month current and aspiring mountain bike riders will have an opportunity to improve their skills at a subsidised clinic to be held in Karratha.
The annual event, run by the Burrup Mountain Bike Club, will take place across three days from Friday, May 25, to Sunday, May 27.
Professional instructors will be on hand, and is a fantastic opportunity for people new to the sport, including children, to give mountain biking a go.
Experienced riders and club members are also welcome, and With only 100 places available, bookings are recommended.
ATCO production specialist Dean Rodgers said the event had proven popular over the years.
“We’re really happy to be able to help promote active participation and healthy lifestyles in an exciting and growing sport,” he said.
“As a keen mountain biker myself and participant in the event, I’d definitely encourage anyone who is thinking about giving it a go to register as soon as possible.”
The program is suitable for all ages and abilities.
