Flames Division 1 Black extend their Karratha Basketball Association win streak at Karratha Leisureplex

Flames Division 1 Black continued their winning streak after an enormous 50-point win against eight-placed Bandits last week. Flames were quick to race to a 13-point lead early on and extended that to a 33-12 advantage by half time. Danford Parata led the way for Flames sinking 17 points with help from Maeva Walker (8 points) and Ky Hayes (6 points) in the first half. Table-topper Flames continued to dominate after the main break and by the time Bandits’ Claude Eaton sunk two-points towards the end of the third quarter, Flames had blown their lead to 30 points. Parata closed the game with his seventh three-pointer of the night, sealing the game 79-29. In the night’s other game second-placed Flames Division 1 Grey kept Trouts at bay all night, winning 41-19. Thursday night’s games saw Northern Spirit Warriors defeat Mayuga Majik, 33-21, while Pardoo Katz were unable to find the net for the second week, losing 0-20 to Northern Spirit Suns. In the women’s division one games, third-placed Trouts White narrowly defeated table-toppers Flames Division 1 Black by one point, 24-23, while the two bottom-placed teams squared off with Northern Spirit Lynx taking the win against Cyclones Development, 35-19.
