FeNaClNG festival draws huge crowds for two days of fun, rides and fireworks

The FeNaClNG festival returned to Karratha with a bang over the weekend with residents flocking to Bulgarra Oval to enjoy the highly anticipated event. Drawing its name from the chemical symbols for iron (Fe), salt (NaCl) and natural gas (NG), the FeNaClNG Festival saw crowds enjoying the atmosphere of the biggest community event on Karratha’s calendar. Highlights included rides, show bags, exhibits, and stalls selling everything from slushies to diamonds and camper trailers. Daytime entertainment throughout the festival was provided by groups including Pitter Patter Productions performing a medley of Disney songs, Hardwired Entertainment impressing the crowds with high octane stunts and the Tug of War competition. Other entertainment included local musicians such as Cody Fenner and Maddie Mian, Jokeira and Saturday evening’s main attraction Perth’s Lisa Woodbrook. The weekend concluded with a bang, with the annual fireworks show drawing plenty of oohs and ahhs from the packed oval.
