Nominations for the 2017 Gascoyne Regional Business Awards are open.

Two Gascoyne businesses took out State gongs at the WA State Regional Business Awards after winning the inaugural local award last year.

Nominations can be made across 11 industry categories and nine categories, with businesses able to be nominated for multiple awards.

Applications close on July 3.

Winners will be announced at a gala presentation night in Exmouth on September 2.

To be considered for a State award, businesses must win a regional small business award, have a head office and main operations based in WA, and must employ no more than 20 full-time or equivalent staff, among other rules.

Businesses must also have been in operation for at least 12 months.

Bullara Station won the 2016 business local category.

Station manager Edwine Shallcross said the awards were an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and success of regional business.
