Coral Trouts no match for dominant Northern Spirit Warriors in Karratha Basketball Association round 5

Northern Spirit Warriors crushed Coral Trouts by 22 points in round five of the Karratha Basketball Association to move to third position on the ladder. The clash took place last Thursday at the Karratha Leisureplex, with the Warriors asserting their control early in the game. Warriors controlled the play in the first half, dominating Coral Trouts to lead by 16 points at half-time. In the second half, the Warriors continued to score at will, breaking clear for an emphatic 47-25 victory. The win saw Northern Spirit Warriors move to third, two points behind the top teams. Aaron Chambers starred for the Warriors with 15 points, with Benjamin Thorn posting 12 points for Coral Trouts. In the other division one games, table-toppers Flames Black demolished Pardoo Katz by 40 points, 61-21, and second-placed Flames Grey held off Northern Spirit Suns 30-25. In the final game of the round, Bandits and Trouts ended in a 27-27 Western Australian Local Government Association after a back-and-forth game. In division two ,Flames Grey downed Vipers 20-13 and Trouts White overpowered Flames Black 36-16. Flames Orange proved too strong for Thirsty Trouts, taking the victory 48-38 and RMSC Titans defeated Northern Spirit Corps 36-29. In the women’s competition division one table toppers Flames Black continued their winning form with a 10-point victory over Cyclone Development 34-24. Trouts Blue overwhelmed Northern Spirit Lynx in a one-sided clash storming to a convincing 33-12 victory. The division two competition saw Flames Black down Trouts Orange 23-7. Trouts Blue had a hard-fought win over Trouts White 19-8 and Northern Spirit Queens edged out Flames Div 2 Orange 21-17. The final game of the round saw Northern Spirit Suns hold off Flames Grey to win 20-16.
