Bushfire continues to burn near Karijini National Park
Travellers in the Shire of Ashburton have been warned to stay safe as a bushfire continues to burn adjacent to Karijini National Park.
Beginning Friday evening, the fire has been burning over the weekend on Karijini Drive, 15km west of the intersection of Great Northern Highway.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is being managed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife with firefighters at the scene.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services have warned travellers to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
