North West Coastal Highway in both directions from Pannawonica Road to Karratha has been closed due to a bush fire advice.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.

The fire is located 30 kilometres south of Fortescue Roadhouse on the eastern side of North West Coastal Highway and is burning in an easterly direction.

Although there is no immediate danger, people need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
