The success of Karratha’s Blanche Bar group continues to flow as the hospitality business cleaned up at another round of awards.

The Blanche group took home three gongs at the 2020 AHA-Aon Hospitality Awards for Excellence in Perth last week.

Blanche Bar won the tourism initiative award, Wickham’s Rambla Bar and Bistro won the TAB hotel/pub TAB venue award, and Rebecca Licastro from Rambla Bar and Bistro won the food and beverage services employee award.

The group was the only North West business in the winners’ list.

Owner Bart Parsons said it was amazing to have the wins.

“Having Rambla feature in two of the awards was incredible as well, especially for a place like Wickham, which is so small. The venue has won awards two years in a row now, which is great,” he said.

Fiorita Wine Bar and Restaurant’s Craig Slater and Wayne Hammond were highly commended for the cocktail bartender award and excellence in service award respectively, while Exmouth’s Whalebone Brewing Company was highly commended for the live entertainment venue award.

AHA WA CEO Bradley Woods said the quality of the nominations was outstanding.
